  1. Getting going with Go — While I’m fascinating by Go, I’m more curious about the series this article is a part of: Today I Learned (TIL). We all should write more and short form learning seems an excellent way to make it happen.
  2. Apple - the only Big Tech giant going against the job cuts tide — Amid the media firestorm about layoffs, I didn’t notice this. The charts in here are gorgeous and reveal a fascinating strategy from Apple.
  3. Money Stuff- NYSE Forgot to Open Yesterday — Some of my favorite articles write about things we take for granted. When everything always works, we don’t need to understand it. Reading this I learned so much about markets by understanding how they break.
  4. Google’s Quest to Build a Better Boss — When things seem obvious, it’s time to look closer. On first pass the conclusions here seem boring, but they are deeper than they appear.
  5. 🎓 Feces — I read just about everything Eleanor Konik writes. From her Obsidian Roundup to obscure facts about poop, she’s always got something interesting.

Books I’m Reading

  1. The 7 1⁄2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle — Stuart Turton — While I found this a page turning mystery, the world building is a let down. I put it between Glass Onion (a disappointment) and Knives Out (a delight). Unlike The Prestige, solving the mystery makes this one fall apart.
  2. Hold Me Tight — Dr Sue Johnson — I continue to be floored by this book. I’ve read lots of books on relationships and while many of them are comforting, this one goes beyond that to helpful.
  3. Everyday Chaos — David Weinberger — The further I get into this book, the more it changes what I want to build. Every founder should read this before they start building.
